Oak Group MUG Ride25

Oak Group MUG Ride25 Saturday, September 01, 2018

This years event provides cyclists with 4 options of distances 100 miles (4 laps of the Island), 75 miles (3 laps), 50 miles (2 laps) and 25 miles (1 lap) which will start and finish at the MUG Mound in Salarie car park.

The family coastal route will start at Pembroke and finish at the MUG mound at Salarie car park (10km).

There will be a closing party at The Boathouse from 8pm for all riders where there will be free food provided and drinks payable at the bar. DJ Andre De Carteret will also help you to dance the night away.

Registration is £25 per person and we are also asking you to raise another £25 through sponsorship.

All proceeds will be directly donated to MUG in order to raise funds for the MDT room (Multidisciplinary Team meeting room) at the PEH. This room requires doctors to discuss the essential management of thousands of cancer patients and to be able to call the UK to discuss individual patient episodes. In order to discuss these cases properly, detailed and up-to-date audiovisual facilities are needed so that radiological and pathological investigations can be seen by the entire meeting. At the moment the radiologists are not able to access sufficient detailed images to correctly interpret them.

• Entry Fee £25 for adults. £10 for under 16's.

Once again, the Thomas Martin-Sarre trophy will be presented to the best fundraiser under 18 years of age. They will also be awarded a £200 voucher from Ian Brown's Cycle Shop.

ALSO Any individual or family raising over £100 will be entered into a prize draw to win a bike from Ian Browns Bike Shop!

Starting times for the routes will be staggered in the hope that most people will finish around 9 pm onwwards, ready for the after-ride party. The times are as follows:

  • 100 Miles starting at 3pm
  • 75 Miles starting at 5pm
  • 50 Miles starting at 6pm
  • 25 Miles starting at 7pm
  • Family Route at 6pm

Take a look at the full island route map here and the 10km route map here.

A big thank you goes to our main sponsors Oak Group and to The Boathouse for hosting the after party.
