To support those affected by male incontinence, MUG are proud to be sponsoring the supply of sanitary bins all across the island.
To support those affected by incontinence, often brought about my prostate cancer treatments, IBS, Crohn's, and other conditions, MUG is supplying sanitary bins to men's toilets across the island.
Prostate cancer affects 1 in 8 men, with up to 60% of those undergoing surgery experiencing urinary incontinence as a result. Additionally, bowel incontinence impacts 1 in 20 men over 60, leading to isolation, stress, embarrassment, and depression.
Despite these challenges, minimal facilities are available for men to dispose of their waste discreetly and with dignity. This initiative seeks to address that gap and make a significant difference in many lives.
A big thank you to former prostate cancer patient Phil Merrien at the States Works Department for inspiring this initiative with his shared experience.
