Bins for Men Initiative

To support those affected by male incontinence, MUG are proud to have sponsored the supply of over 100 sanitary bins all across the island.

We at MUG are proud to announce that over 100 sanitary bins have been installed across different locations around the island.

MUG is supplying sanitary bins to men's toilets across the island to support those affected by incontinence, often brought about by prostate cancer treatments, IBS, Crohn's, and other conditions.

We now have over 100 bins installed across different locations around the island. Explore the map above to see all the locations, from public places to our private supporters, that have joined us in this important cause.

Prostate cancer affects 1 in 8 men, with up to 60% of those undergoing surgery experiencing urinary incontinence as a result. Additionally, bowel incontinence impacts 1 in 20 men over 60, leading to isolation, stress, embarrassment, and depression.

Despite these challenges, minimal facilities are available for men to dispose of their waste discreetly and with dignity. This initiative seeks to address that gap and make a significant difference in many lives.

A big thank you to former prostate cancer patient Phil Merrien at the States Works Department for inspiring this initiative with his shared experience.
