We were extremely saddened to learn of the passing of John Mills.

John was instrumental in raising money for MUG. In 2015, John was diagnosed with incurable prostate cancer. Despite this devastating health news, he selflessly contacted MUG and asked if there were any projects that they were working towards that he could help raise money for. Taking on the challenge to ride 1000 miles from Dover to John O'Groats, Scotland, in 2016, he raised £20,000, which helped complete the purchase of specialist equipment to perform Template Prostatic Biopsies on Guernsey, meaning patients would no longer have to travel to Southampton for the treatment. This lead to the ability to have earlier diagnoses on-Island, which undoubtedly saved more lives. We will always be grateful to John for his efforts, generosity & commitment to our cause.

John will be sincerely missed, and our condolences go out to his family and friends at this time.
